hello. my name is sara and i am a twenty-something mother, wife, art school graduate, culinary school dropout and freelance illustrator. that's a picture of me about two weeks before i gave birth. i have never felt so beautiful as i did when i was pregnant. i love to draw, cook, take pictures, write, and read. i run an etsy shop called darling lark.
this is my husband, travis. he is currently in his final semester of graduate school and will receive his MFA in painting this may. he is also a full-out wine snob enthusiast and is working his way up through the court of master sommeliers. as of now, he has passed his introductory level exam. he will sit for the certified level exam at the end of march. follow him on twitter @underripe to keep up with his goings-on.
this is our daughter, sylvia. she was born on the morning of august 8, 2010 after 31 hours of labor. to read her birth story click here. she likes log rolling, pacifiers, anything spiced with curry powder, and watching classic sesame street videos on youtube. she has my blue eyes, lips, and sense of humor. she has travis' nose, dark hair, and calmness. she is perfect.
